CiMSO Congratulates Nick Shan on APGC General Manager Appointment

CiMSO congratulates Nick Shan on his appointment as General Manager of the Asia-Pacific Golf Confederation, following a competitive selection process of over 120 applicants.

Based in Singapore, Shan brings more than 20 years of experience across Asia-Pacific and Southern Africa, including a decade with The R&A. In his new role, he will oversee operations across 47 national associations and help guide the Confederation’s continued growth.

During his time with The R&A, Shan served as Tournament Director for APGC championships between 2016 and 2022, working closely with the Board to deliver strategic and operational leadership. He also played a key role in strengthening the organisation’s digital presence through a forward-looking strategic plan.

The APGC continues to play a central role in amateur golf across the region, supporting member bodies, hosting major championships, and collaborating with global partners such as the Masters Tournament and the International Golf Federation.
